A friendly mascot for facts, kids and lifestyle

'Did you know?' facts, kids' learning videos and light lifestyle explainers all benefit from a mascot: a simple, friendly character that makes the channel feel welcoming and that kids (and adults) remember. Jelli is designed to be instantly likeable — big eyes, a soft rounded body and a smile that grows with the 'happy' and 'excited' expressions.

Because his shape is so simple, Jelli stays readable even as a small corner badge, and his colours look good on bright scenes like the classroom or party, or on your own brand colour. His hands gesture on your stressed words, and his body squashes a little with every strong syllable.

How it works

  1. Paste your script. Jelli reads it from a karaoke-style teleprompter.
  2. Record your voice in the browser, or upload an MP3, WAV or M4A.
  3. Pick a scene, framing and subtitles, then download the video.

Tips for bright, friendly explainer videos

Keep each video to one fact or one tip and end with a question — it invites comments. For kids' content, read a little slower than usual, with a warm tone; Jelli's 'happy' expression is the default for a reason.

Pick one colour for your channel and stick with it. Pair Jelli with a 'Did you know?' card or emoji step templates. If your videos are made for children, remember to mark them as 'made for kids' on YouTube when you upload.

Questions

Is Jelli suitable for kids' channels?
Yes. He is a gentle, original mascot with no scary features. When you upload content made for children, YouTube asks you to mark it as made for kids.
Can I use Jelli in my brand colour?
Jelli comes in five colours, and the background can be any solid colour or gradient you pick, a drawn scene, your own image or video, a green screen or transparent.
Can I monetize videos with Jelli?
Yes, the video file is yours to publish and monetize. What YouTube's Partner Program does not pay for is inauthentic content: mass-produced or repetitive uploads with little original work. Your own script, voice and point of view are what make a channel eligible, not the drawing.
